Training in the Grass (Open to Storm and Shock)

The wind gently bushed though Artemis' mane as he stood in the middle of the grassland, his gaze remaining fixed on a bush in front of him. It had been a while since the young absol had joined Nira's and Shock's 'family' and he was growing fast. However, he didn't want to be protected by them forever; no, he wanted to grow strong!

He shook his head, trying to run though what moves he could do. Well, he wasn't completely sure what moves he could do; he had never tried. He could scratch; these claws weren't just for show and he had a faint idea of other moves. In fact, as he took in a deep breath and closed his eyes. His horn started to glow as he stood there, his claw digging slightly into the ground. He slightly hoped that Nira and/or Shock would come and join him; he wanted them to grow strong together!

Artemis: Level 2

Occ: I got tired of waiting as who knows when we are going to finish Moving Forward. Thought I would make this topic myself cause...Yea.

Ooc: I think most of us are waiting for the annoying background to get fixed before we post anything xD It's a little hard to read things with it there.

Ic: Nira crawled out from her nest, nodding at the growing pile of bracken, leaves, feathers, and branches that the trio would later use for the building of their base. It was hidden here near her nest, which she had dug deeper into the ground under the tree that normally gave her shade; now it served two purposes.
The charmander stepped out into the sun and glanced around, spotting Artemis not far away. They had built him a nest near Nira's so that she could watch over him...She had grown to feel responsible of the absol, like a younger sibling or something. Smiling, she ran over quickly and called out a greeting to let him know she was there: "Hi Artemis! Are you training?"

One of his eyes opened when he heard Nira speak next to him, but his horn never died down from glowing. He wanted to respond, but he also wanted to finish the move he was doing. He glanced quickly at the charmander before he turned his gaze back to the empty field before him. With a small huff, he swung his head forward, letting his glowing horn slash the air. The moment he slashed the air, the light around his hold suddenly shot forward in a crescent-shaped and sailed for a while before disappearing. He stumbled backwards a few steps, having not expected the energy drain that suddenly came; having not used that move before. He shook his head a few times, before glancing at Nira with a sheepish grin.

"Y-Yea, I am training! I want to be strong for all of us!" he said, puffing out his chest, but his eyes dulled a few seconds later. "I haven't really u-used any of my moves before so I want to at least learn them if I don't grow much stronger. Do you want to join?"

Artemis: Level 3

Nira nodded eagerly at his offer. "Of course! I may be older than you, but I doubt I'm any stronger; I don't train much. Might as well start now!" She laughed, but quickly quieted as she got into a ready position next to Artemis. She drew one hand/paw back, and the little claws on it gleamed slightly in the sunlight, revealing their existence. She scratched at the air, then quickly repeated with her other paw-hand-thing. She had a rhythm of sharp swiping to the air, focusing on an invisible target she had created in her mind to watch and attack. Occasionally she side-stepped and swiped again, as if practicing her dodging. Even still, her eyes still stayed locked on as she focused hard. She was clever and hoped to eventually balance that out with skill and strength.

Shock yawned as he stood in his nest. His eyes tried to blink away the tired look as his gaze turned towards the commotion not even that far away from him. His head tilted to the side as his bright brown eyes stared at the two. They must be training! The Eevee jumped out of his nest and darted out towards the two. "Hey, are you guys training?!" Shock said in an excited tone, sure he was an adult. But, he was still childish.

Artemis watched Nira with a small smile, before turning to see Shock coming up. The Absol grinned, nodding his head. "Ye-Yea!" he said with a small stutter. "Yo-You should join us! We ca-can all grow strong to-together!"

Artemis: Level 3

Nira smiled and stopped as Shock joined them. "Come on and join in! Maybe we can spar later once we're all stronger; you know, for fun." She added, not wanting it to seem like they'd actually be fighting. Artemis still seemed a little shy and she didn't want to startle him. She gave the absol a friendly, reassuring look before turning to continue training.
Her claws cut through the air as she lashed out, soon growing into her rhythm once more.

Nira: Level 3

Shock padded over to Nira and Artemis before standing there. His fur fluffed out as he imagined an invisible foe. The Eevee charged towards the target, throwing his whole body 'into' the invisible figure.

Shock: Level 2

Artemis watched the two with a small giggle, before pausing to figure out how he would train. He could go back to trying out to see what moves he did know, so he let his claws slide out. Scratch; a simple move but it seemed like a good idea to start off with basic moves first; that one he had started out just drained him a bit to much. He narrowed his eyes, making up an imagery foe also and started to slash at the air, kinda copying what Nira was doing.

Artemis has learned Leer!

Nira paused, glancing at the others and smiling. Here they were, all training together like best buddies! It was so much fun. Oh that's right, she was doing something. She turned back to lock her eyes onto her invisible target once more, then leaped at it, clawing the air again. She growled lowly then lashed at it again, but began to giggle slightly. She began to laugh happily as she trained, then looked at the others a moment. "This is fun!" She exclaimed, continuing to scratch at the air. She was less focused but having a good time, and she was faster too due to excitement. Guess that's one good thing :D

Nira: Level 4

Shock laughed in enjoyment as he repeated the action, getting grass and what-not into his fur. The small Eevee giggled playfully as he repeatedly stumbled into the invisible foe.

Shock: Level 3

Artemis paused as he grinned at his two friends, his blade-like tail wagging slightly. Nira was right; this was fun! Who knows how boring it would of been if he was alone, but he had two great friends to do this with! He paused as his gaze shifted slightly toward his horn (or at least the bit of it he could see.) He had another move he wanted to try, which wasn't much unlike the first one, but he was sure it wouldn't take as much energy. He took a deep breath, and let his horn glow white once again. He took a quick step forward and slashed his make-believe foe, before letting the glow around his horn disappear. A soft smile appeared on his face. he was sure that if he could master that move enough; nothing would stand in its way, even if it was fairly weak.

Shock darted forward and barreled over, tackling his foe once again.

Slash, slash, slash. Artemis kept slashing the air with his horn (which was growing again of course), a small smile on his face. His horn had always been a small problem by causing him to be slightly lopsided, but slashing it in the air like this just felt right. He did let his eyes wander toward the others, and couldn't help but smile as he watched them. He was happy that he had a family; he had grown so tried of being alone.

Artemis: Level 5

Nira paused, stretching her shoulders a moment after a bunch of scratching. Didn't want them to cramp up! She glanced at her tail, grinning when she saw it was burning a little brighter to show she was pumped up and ready to get stronger. She turned back to watch another invisible target, and scratched at it, her legs leaping up slightly as if it was a taller target she was reaching for.

Nira: Level 5

Again, Shock went tumbling forward. He felt himself being amped about this whole training stuff. The Eevee hopped back onto his paws and barreled forward. He felt himself slamming into what felt like scaley skin. "Sorry, Nira!" He said as he felt his fur get heated up. Wait a minute. The Eevee stood up to see his tail on fire! Hurriedly, he ran in circles before repeatedly his paw onto his tail, trying to get rid of the flame. Finally, it went out and he stood back up smiling and laughing like a fool.

Shock: Level 5

Artemis stopped the slashing of the air when he heard Shock speak up; looking up in time to see Shock trying to put his tail out. The Absol smiled softly, but it was a bit fake. He was unsure how the Eevee could act so cool with part of him catching on fire; Artemis would of panicked badly if any part of his fur caught fire - he liked his fur in once piece. He paused for a second to nuzzle his chin in his fluffy chest fur, before his gaze met his sharp claws. He lifted one, and slashed the air with it. He reared back on his paws and slashed the air as many times as he could before he was forced to land back on all fours. He let out a small giggle, and repeated it.

Artemis: Level 6

Ooc: Asdf didn't realize it was my turn.

Ic: Nira gasped as she felt someone run into her, eyes widening as Shock caught on fire. How did that even happen? She couldn't use fire yet. Confused, she quickly hopped up and ran over, trying to help by patting at the fire; though it went out easily. "Sorry! Sorry!" She apologized, then quietly began to giggle at his smile. "It was kinda funny though! I want to try using fire now!" She decided, then turned and attempted to blow out hot breath. Yes, very hot. But no fire.

Nira: Level 6

Shock watched as Nira let out the hot breath. It wasn't fire but he could see the air get all wavy from the heat.

With quick determination, Shock darted forward and tackled an invisible person for the who knows what time. He wanted to learn something.

Artemis kept up his slashing of the air, his blade-like tail flicking. He however, kept glancing back at his two friends, trying to figure out what progress they were making on their training. He paused for a few seconds, shaking his head as his horn glowed for a belief second, but he pushed it away as he went back to working on his scratch.

Artemis: Level 6

Nira inhaled greatly, her chest puffing up and her back arching backwards slightly from it as her cheeks puffed up with hot air. She blew out, causing the air to make a slightly wavy motion, though still no fire. She panted slightly, and tried again.

Nira: Level 6

Shock just continued to tackle the invisible opponent. It started to get boring but he could feel himself getting stronger!

Not far from the group was a elderly tree, with the tree branches hanging over the group as they trained. High in the tree, one of the larger branches cracked slightly as the the wind struck it, before it broke away completely and fell toward the unaware group, to high up for any of them to have even heard the cracking of it breaking

Artemis was still slashing the air when his horn lit up again, but this time his eye glowed white for that same second and he dropped to all fours. He saw a quick vision flash in front of his eyes, and without a single word or moment notice, he turned around and drove forward. His outstretched paws suddenly struck Shock, throwing him across the field into a bush. Artemis hit the ground and rolled, and a few seconds later the thundering crash of the large tree branch stuck the ground; just where Shock had been standing moments before.

Artemis gasped as he suddenly came aware of what he did but felt to tired to move, he just laid there in a daze, staring up at the large tree above him, panting for breath. "S-Shock?" he asked softly, a bit to afraid that the eevee wouldn't respond. "A-Are you o-ok?"

Nira suddenly heard a loud thump, making her nearly jump out of her skin just as she breathed out. Fire spouted in small balls and hit the dirt in front of her, going out quickly. She spun around in surprise,--she could get happy later over her new move--her blue eyes widening as she saw the big branch on the ground where Shock had been standing. She gasped and ran over, pausing as she heard Artemis's worried question and looking over at them. She ran over, relieved that it didn't hit them. "What happened?" She asked, voice full of concern.
