Misaki's Arrival

On a misty winter morning, a small, newborn creature crawled out of a wide hole in the ground, which was well hidden by tall grass and shrubs. Illuminated by the morning sun and surronded by the fog, the tiny animal seemed to glow in the darkness of the forest.
Her blue eyes were wide and looked rather large compared to her five by five inch body. The metallic Pokemon showed no fear, as her parents told her no one would dare eat their kind, for fear of losing all their teeth.
Plopping down, causing a twang of metal against wood, Misaki gazed out into her home, wondering if anyone else lived here.

In the lowest branches of a nearby tree, a small fletchling was venturing into the world for the first time. She ruffled her feathers against the cool morning air, which proved to be a pretty futile effort. Nevertheless, Nix was determined to see something today. After a few hops, she made it to a space where the dawn light had broken through. As she settled down to take in the forest, a strange sound caught her attention. Her sharp eyes flicked down to spot a rather strange creature. "Hey there!" she called down, blatantly ignoring her mother's rule. But the other pokemon-whatever it was- seemed harmless! "Do you live down there?" The bird of course meant the forest floor, not particularly noticing the gaping hole in the ground the other had come from.
