LEARNING MOVES

Want to have your character learn a move not learned by leveling up? You can!

  • To learn a TM or HM move, you have to unlock it in the store and bam, you can teach it to any character that you own, at any time. It is recommended to keep a list of all the TMs/HMs you own, and don't try to pretend you own it already; we keep lists.
  • To learn a Breeding move, you have to have real parents(non-NPCs) teach it to you. They have to be your parents--not some random parents--and they have to know the move as well.
  • You can know and unlimited amount of moves at once, but good luck keeping track of them  Magikarp
  • To learn a Tutoring move, you have to have someone who already knows it teach it to you. Your character cannot learn it on their own. Ask someone nicely to have their character teach your character; they don't have to if they don't want to.
  • To learn a Dream World move, you have to have special permission from an admin first and then make a topic where you learn it through a dream.
  • You can not learn other pokemons' signature moves. In other words, you cannot have a Poochyena with Volt Tackle.

EVOLUTION GUIDE
A guide to evolving in roleplay.

Evolving during topics/battles
This is allowed, as long as you have reached the required level.

Evolving in general
Once you have reached the required level to evolve or passed it, make a topic where you evolve, or evolve in the topic where you last leveled up at.

Evolving by stones
You have to use points to buy a stone, then you can use it multiple times on any character.

Evolving by love
Your character must have a mate to evolve. This doesn't count if your mate is another of your own characters.

Evolving by friendship
Your character must be best friends with another character to evolve. This doesn't count if your best friend is another of your own characters.

Evolving via a held item
You must buy the item from the store or find it in an event topic made by the staff.

LEVELING GUIDE

Leveling up your characters is based on posts with each character. The posts only count towards your level when used in a training topic; a training topic often has "[LVL]" in the title. If you post in a training topic with a character, it counts towards whatever pokemon you posted in that post with...Also, they have to be doing some sort of training. The post doesn't count as a Training Post(TP) if your character(s) are just sitting around doing nothing. Also, you cannot throw in one-liners, especially when doing a private training topic for yourself only. At least have two or three good, full sentences in there, otherwise we'll think you're just trying to post a bunch really fast in order to gain TP as fast as possible, which is not fair nor allowed.
Level 1 does not require any posts since this is the level everyone starts at. There is no "Level 0". Once you level up, your TP count is reset. For example, if you're level 1 and post 1 Training Post, then you get to level 2 and your TP is reset to 0.

Leveling
Levels 2-5 = 1 TP
Levels 6-10 = 2 TP
Levels 11-15 = 3 TP
Levels 16-20 = 4 TP
Levels 21-25 = 5 TP
Levels 26-30 = 6 TP
Levels 31-35 = 7 TP
Levels 36-40 = 8 TP
Levels 41-45 = 9 TP
Levels 46-50 = 10 TP
Levels 51-55 = 11 TP
Levels 56-60 = 12 TP
...And so on
